Description
Our Penis Envy #6 (PE6) spore syringe contains 10 ml of spore solution with visible clouds of viable Psilocybe cubensis spores. Each syringe is prepared under sterile conditions and guaranteed free from contamination.
Unlike an isolated liquid culture, a spore syringe contains a broad genetic pool. As a result, it makes an excellent starting point for growers who want to explore PE6 genetics, select their own cultures, or simply enjoy the natural variation that can occur between different phenotypes.
PE6 appearance
PE6 has a distinctive appearance that combines Penis Envy heritage with characteristics more commonly associated with traditional P. cubensis varieties. It typically develops tall, relatively straight stems topped by unusual bell-shaped caps.
The caps can reach approximately 30–65 mm in diameter and generally remain bell-shaped even at maturity rather than fully expanding. Meanwhile, the stems can grow considerably longer than those of classic Penis Envy and typically have a tan to buff coloration.
Unlike the thick, bulbous and often curved stems associated with classic Penis Envy, PE6 generally develops a straighter and more elongated form. Additionally, handling or damaging the tissue can cause intense blue-green bruising.
PE6 growth characteristics
PE6 was developed to combine characteristics of the original Penis Envy with the more conventional growth and spore production of Texas Gulf Coast genetics. As a result, it generally shows better stability and produces spores more abundantly than classic Penis Envy.
The Texas Gulf Coast influence also gives PE6 a more conventional P. cubensis growth pattern while retaining characteristics from its Penis Envy lineage. In particular, PE6 has the potential to produce substantial fruits with long stems and distinctive bell-shaped caps.
Because this syringe contains a multispore population rather than an isolated culture, individual cultures can still express different characteristics. This variation gives growers the opportunity to explore PE6 genetics and select phenotypes with desirable traits.
What makes PE6 unique?
Penis Envy #6 is a hybrid of the original Penis Envy and Texas Gulf Coast Psilocybe cubensis strains. The creation of PE6 is credited to the well-known mushroom cultivator RogerRabbit, who described crossing regular Penis Envy with Texas genetics.
However, PE6 does not simply reproduce the appearance of classic Penis Envy. The introduction of Texas Gulf Coast genetics resulted in a distinct variety with taller, straighter stems, bell-shaped caps, and significantly better spore production.
This combination makes PE6 particularly interesting for growers who want to explore the Penis Envy family while working with genetics that express more conventional P. cubensis characteristics. Starting from spores adds another layer of diversity, allowing different phenotypes to emerge from the PE6 genetic pool.

Safety precautions and handling
When handling the Penis Envy #6 (PE6) spore syringe, it is crucial to follow proper safety precautions to avoid contamination and ensure a successful growth process. Here are some general guidelines to keep in mind:
- Always handle the syringe in a clean and sterile environment.
- Wear powder-free nitrile gloves and a face mask to prevent contamination.
- Minimize airflow in your workplace.
- Avoid touching the needle or the spore solution directly to maintain sterility.
- Store the syringe in a refrigerator at 3-5°C to prolong its shelf life. Use the syringe within 3 months after reception.
